They cant compete with the pros..and even in the open source community many pros are engaged in theire freetimes..or students that will be pro..

Ableton is a small company they can´t afford to hire expensiv coders.. for that what one pro coder costs the month you pay the complete ableton staff.

when this is not fair one maybe should tell them that it would be better for their image to remove that monthy phyton joke...
Especially because the reality prooves half the statements in there to be wishful thinking..

the mouse will bring dials and faders down to max neg values and kinda jump around
when this happens i have to use arrow keys to edit

as far as cpu spikes i often have to quit live and reopen a set to deal with that

i love live and m4l but they really need to fix this stuff big time or they need to rename it studio because these bugs are bad and could seriously screw up a live performance

What type of mouse are you using?
Does it ever happen with Ableton's native devices?

Does the behavior sound like this?

When I alter a parameter the mouse pointer control acts jittery and 'jumps away' fast into the direction I'm dragging.

Then the solution is:

In order to prevent the awkward mouse pointer behaviour when using a Wacom tablet you can add the folowing line to your options.txt file:

-absoluteMouseMode

This only works with Live 8.0.2 and later.

How to use Options.txt

Create a text file called "Options.txt" in the same folder where Live's Preferences.cfg file is located. Here's where to find the preferences folder (Live 6.0.9 or higher):

Mac OS X: /User/Library/Preferences/Ableton
Windows (Live 4 and later versions): C:/Documents and Settings/yourusername/Application Data/Ableton/Live/Preferences
Windows Vista/Win7: c:/users/username/appdata/roaming/ableton/live/preferences/

Note that on some Windows systems the application data folder is hidden by default. Here is what you have to do to make it visible:

Windows XP/2000

Launch Explorer.
Select Tools/Folder Options/View.
Check "Show hidden files and folders."

It has nothing to do with MFL, this was bugging Wacom users for years. Not anymore...
