richie hawtin uses live?
I thought he promotes his own company (Final scratch)
As far as I remember Richie Hawtin was one of the early 'beta-testers in a real dj environment' of FinalScratch. The product itself was developped by a Dutch company/group and is commercialised by Stanton

re-richie
um - he and john aquaviva actually invested money in that company (as he stated), so he's not that objective about it.
It's actually a cool product, but also sort of a competition to live as a dj tool, only way more expensive, can play mp3s. has no effects, and needs a peesee and linux to operate (Hefty setup), not to mention a full dj setup. actually, these tools are too different to compare, but i find it hard to believe that richie uses ableton (Especially after the sonic foundry plus8 competition)
The 430 west guys are using live, and they're much more relevant to my style anyway.
