Lazer Sword is awesome! I'm doubting the OP is spamming. If he is, and is in fact from Lazer Sword, then I'd love to hear some insight on their sound, tech, equip, etc! ---one of my fav artists of the past couple of years....

Sylenth1 and Vengeance samples would be a good start.

but what big sound are you talking about... are u talking about a particular song, synth, or just the overall vibe of the album.marra wrote:Wonder how they got that big sound though

They probably do it by turning up the fader and not having lots of other things playing at the same time.

The overall mixing / production qualitynuxnamon wrote:but what big sound are you talking about... are u talking about a particular song, synth, or just the overall vibe of the album.
More particularly, what hardware or software could they be running their tracks / master through?
It's definitely more than just turning up your fader, or applying tape saturation. I feel sorry for y'all who cant hear that.
Most reviews praise their unique sound and compare them to Daft Punk and Flying Lotus. Now, Lazer Sword might not be as musical, but they've definitely achieved a bigger sound, mixing-wise, than any of the cats they're being compared to.
