Where do you upload you're music to get some feedback?
I know of the Ableton forums and Soundcloud forums but where else do you link you're tracks so you can get some feedback on them?
Re: Where do you upload you're music to get some feedback?
Soundcloud is imo the most efficient IF you start following people you like.
Discussing on forums, spreading your music, maybe link to a myspace, facebook account.
It take times and energy to reach the audience but rewarding if you don't loose your dream.
Contacting netlabels could also help
Oh and watch this brilliant interview:
Stretta about Creative Commons
best.

This is indeed one of the best ways to get feedback. You get about the same kind of response as you give. if you just add 'nice one' or 'wicked sick' or something similar, which is better than nothing, but the real treat is getting some serious feedback that goes into detail with what excactly made you like a particular track. this just requires you to do the same thing to others.macmurphy wrote:http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=14

I think we really need to focus on listening to more tracks in the feedback section of this forum, its absolutly dead and should be a flourishing part of the forum. I might start a new unwritten rule that everyone should comment on at least 10 tracks per month with constructive crisitsm.

Iam more a guitar/bassist, so I post on those forums and give and receive some excellent feedback. Maybe try a forum geared more towards your particular field?

The number of replies per thread for the "Link your music" section, thats just the first page. Hardly a community there its a shame really.

Re: Where do you upload you're music to get some feedback?
I have actually only just finished my first ever track, I know it's probably still pretty rough I am just looking to get some good quality feedback on ways to improve the track. I have already noticed a few things so and gonna start reworking it soon the upload and hopefully get more feedback which will lead to more improvements.
I have posted the track on the forum in here and a few of the Soundcloud forums.
I don't actually have a Myspace or Facebook account, was going to leave that til I get a lot better :p
Will have to check out http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=14 when I get a decent amount of time to suss it out Im gonna try and start listening to other peoples tracks but I find it hard to criticize other peoples tracks with the level I am at.
Guess I will just have to find a decent forum

Re: Where do you upload you're music to get some feedback?
very simple.
a netlabel with good reputation usually open for new artists with good music, you just have to find the righ one (which is close to your style).
then fanmade videos on youtube will appear soon etc etc.
this is the first step and then you can target smaller normal labels and so on. but be aware, the small ones wont get you any cake, unless the release is pirated and circulating around the net. bigger labels more often pirated.
