External sync and arrangement mode

Post by basskase » Thu Feb 03, 2005 7:20 pm

Perhaps someone can help us on this one-- couldn't find anything in the manual or forums that speaks to this...

We're new Live users, using two laptops for live shows. We synced up the two machines, each with a different arrangement loaded. Our intent is to segue from one piece to the other, using tempo locked samples from each laptop during the segue... It's working nicely except for one thing... When ext sync is engaged in the slave machine, the arrangement plays as started by the master and the slave is unable to start/stop independently. I'd hoped to be able to simply trigger the samples in Session mode and begin the arrangement later.

I suppose we could create a non-arrangement duplicate session, but I'd prefer to keep things simply, if possible.

Any thoughts?

Thx

Try resampling the arrangement into a session view clip. You might be able to start and stop clips independently from the master. Worth a try anyway...
