Manually adjusting tempo changes in session

Post by nz » Thu May 19, 2011 12:12 pm

Hello,

I am trying to manually enter tempo changes in a song and it has been very difficult.

In the master track, I double click to put an envelope in and drag to the tempo. When I get close I hold the command key for some fine tuning, but there is no way that it ever lands on the exact tempo I need. It is always close, but not exact. It's always above or below. I have make the master track bigger to afford me room to adjust and this does not help as well.

I try to manually enter it in above in the tempo field, but when I do that it kicks me over to the red light/clips view. This is useless.

This is very frustrating to say the least. Is there any way to just easily enter in a tempo without all of this fuss?

Thanks.

did you try typing a specific value, or using a knob on a controller... also try limiting the range...
