Any Waldorf Pulse users out there?
Any Waldorf Pulse users out there?
I've made a panel for a plugin called CTRLR that allows you to control the synth like a VST (easy to use a midi controller and tweak a lot of parameters at the same time etc). Anyone be interested in a download?

Cool, I'm going to upload a simple Live set that has the plugin with the correct routing (it took me a while to figure it out as there is no manual for the software!).
In the meantime you'll have to download CTRLR which you can get here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/ctrlrv4/files/
The only downside to this is that the plugin doesn't receive messages from the synth (so if you tweak something on the Pulse or change a preset, the panel won't update itself automatically).

Ok, I've put together:
> The Pulse Panel for CTRLR
> An Ableton Live 8.2.2 set with all the necessary routing done for you
> A readme file with instructions on how to set up the plugin
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6617294/CTRLR_Pulse_Panel.zip
If you need to know anything else just ask me here.
I came across a MIDI channel error while I was putting this pack together (the arpeggiator wouldn't turn on, fixed now) so there may be some other problems. If you find any I would be very grateful to know about them. I had to copy down something in the region of 120 midi channels from the Pulse manual so I wouldn't be surprised if there are a few mistakes.
Hope you enjoy this!

You can get CTRLR on PC and OSX but I actually made this pack on Mac so you should be fine. Not 100% sure how windows users will get the plugin working, I think you'll need MIDI Yoke (?) No idea though.
Let me know if you have any trouble with it.

Awesome. Thanks! I've had my Pulse since 1998 and love it.omutumo wrote:I've made a panel for a plugin called CTRLR that allows you to control the synth like a VST (easy to use a midi controller and tweak a lot of parameters at the same time etc). Anyone be interested in a download?
Re: Any Waldorf Pulse users out there?
Gonna try to do the same with MFL. Don't have a clue on how to make it synchronize when I edit something on the hardware though...

Thanks for this
I can't seem to work out how to actually use this. I downloaded the Waldorf Pulse CTRLR thing for OSX and copied the plug files to the plugins folder, which seems to work fine, but I'm not sure what your panel does, or how to open it in Live. When I open your live set, the track with the CTRLR has no working device, and I don't understand your instructions in the readme!
How do I open a bpanelz file?
Your advice would be appreciated!
Cheers,
jeremy
Re: Any Waldorf Pulse users out there?
No worries, I've figured it out now. I didn't load the CTRLR plugin, but the Waldorf Pulse CTRLR plugin, which does the same thing as you've created
