Parameter Change by Mousewheel

Post by Tympanic » Mon May 23, 2011 10:29 am

Hi there,

does anyone know if it is somehow possible to change parameters in Ableton Live by hovering the mouse over them and then
turning the mouse-wheel?
Like in some (most) 3rd party products....?

cheers
I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now, what I'm with isn't it, and what's "it" seems weird and scary to me.

Very good, I really miss being able to use the mousewheel on the faders as I do with Cubase.
Core2 quad q660, 4gig ram, Win 7 home premium SP1.
P4 2.8 ghz, Gigabyte GA- 81E2004P, 1.5 gig ram,XP Home, SP3.
dual core pentium laptop 2 gig ram Win 8.
MOTU 8Pre,Tascam FW-1804,Zoom R16, Ableton live 8.4
Cubase 7

great! but it would be great if it's possible to have a real real fine resolution too, something like you have now when you have the key "control" pressed. I notice it some other applications that the value resolution is just too high and therefore it is not really useable. you can't that value you want in between... not only but especially EQs have this problem.

i would like to point to a really perfect solution for handling whatever parameter in live:

buy:

http://vmeter.net/

download:

http://www.maxforlive.com/library/device/1642/one

and configure the vmeter accordingly.
thats it.

have fun

Tympanic's solution is almost same as saying invest a fair amount of money in another DAW.

Am I missing something? His idea is great and it doesn't have to cost you anything at all?
