Adam A3X deal

Post by tinymachines » Tue May 24, 2011 2:10 am

I'm wondering, can I trust this site to deliver me a3x's for $213 a piece?

Right now I'm trying to decide between Rokit 6s and the A3Xs. I don't necessarily want to put down $600 though for monitors. I just don't trust a site if they are 30% cheaper than every other site out there.

To give you an idea, I mixed my most recent album using K240s, but the ear fatigue really got to me. I've never have actual studio monitors before.

i see a dollar sign and not a pound sign but i'd check w/ Juno they are a very well respected company and have been in biz as long as i can think back. Again check to make sure the currency is correct as they are a UK dealer and might not be able to sell internationally.

i love my Adam A7's :)

You might be thinking of Mexico.

Okay, so on to my next question. I don't really know anything about monitor setup, besides the equilateral triangle. I currently work using an Mbox 2 Pro and Ableton. If I buy the a3x's, do I only need to get two xlr cables, and connect those into the mbox outputs? Or is there a cleaner more realistic setup I need? Oh, and do I need to get some external power source?

I'd assume that this is an ex-VAT pricing and you'll have to pay import taxes instead, no?

Shipping amounts to $230 so the total is higher than buying them locally. :(
