Jill Scott - Who is Jill Scott?
Soulive - The Tribeca Shows
Archie Shepp and Niels Henning Orsted-Peterson - Looking at Bird
Canonnball Adderley - Something Else
Wes Montgomerey - Movin' Wes (Moca Flor is just plain sick!)

Gosh damnit, that are six LPs, oh well - gotta live with that 8)

Yeah, I know it's a pain, but it's the 5 album limit that makes it interesting

otherwise it'd be a pretty endless list!!

Busy work and family life doesn't allow much time to just sit and listen to music like I used to, but here are some things that I've wanted to listen to, in no particular order.

1. DJ Shadow, Massive Attack, etc.
2. Graham Central Station, Funkadelic, etc.
3. Pixies, Yo La Tengo, Sonic Youth, etc.
4. Bill Laswell / Material, Tabla Beat Science
5. Nuggets box set

And I'm always looking for good new stuff as well. I'm certain it must be out there, but I don't make it to clubs much anymore, and they're certainly not playing it on the radio...

I'd also like to mention the album Jam Nation - Way Down Below Buffalo Hell, circa 1993. It was the result of a Peter Gabriel "Week in the Real World" gathering, and I think it might be a good model or inspiration for what we're doing here. We could call it "A Week (or More) in the Virtual World".

Oh, yeah, Mr. Yellow, I'd forgotten about Mr. Bungle and all their related bands. I've been wanting to check out the new CD from Trevor Dunn's Trio Convulsant.

Of course, mentioning Bungle ties into METAL!!!! Slayer, anyone?

1 - Gregory Whitehead - The Pleasure of Ruins. (But check this also: http://www.location1.org/audio/whitehea ... cation.mp3 )
2- A Schumann piece for piano and cello (don't remeber the name, got the music in my head)
3 - Faust - Faust (the black album and the striped one)
4 - Gluck - Orpeus and Eurydice
5 - Piffke und Paffke - Format (EP)

(I do like Dido's theme for the Roswell series too...)
