I had to laugh while watching/listening, but I won't demo it. :D

haha, not bad. the video for The Mouth by NI was a bit this style as well.

By the way, you can do the same with efx-racks quite easily. I have most of the efx assigned like that - knob position 0 - 3 has them turned off, 4-127 has the effect on with several parameters being tweaked while turning.

Yes, but how about the sound of all the FX themselves. You can get the all these sounds & FX with just Ableton?

What I actually find to be the greatest value of these multi-effect units is how they can give you ideas for effect chains that you simply wouldn't have though of without a nudge in the right direction. I see that Sugar Bytes are trying to reel me in with the promise of a $50 coupon if I buy it. Do you think they'd be open to the suggestion that perhaps I could get the coupon first, and then buy it?

I've been playing around with the demo a little bit, and I'm quite tempted. You can open all the slots and edit whatever effect you've loaded, and there are 28 mappable knobs within each effect, so you don't have to use it as a "one button" effect if you'd rather have more control.

off course you can not. but you already can build an endless number of efx of any type with the existing generic ableton efx.

off course this Turnado thing will be easy and fun to use, but I am just saying it's not like that you have to buy this. you can do pretty much the same thing with efx racks in live.

The Turnado feature that caught my attention the most was the Dictator thing. One-knob effects can be easily had from a lot of places, but the Dictator feature lets you set up 8 one-knob effects and then set up a complex sequence of how those 8 one-knob effects are twiddled simultaneously, and then control playback of that sequence with a single knob. I can see that being pretty usefull in a live situation.

That is one seriously butt-ugly interface.

The video is jokes... But it's an interesting all in one effects unit to go with my Vestax VCM600...

Doubt very much I'd use it in my productions, but for live stuff, could be sweet.

That was AWFUL. I hope the video designers all got fired.

Sweet Jesus. If only the price reflected the sheer shiteness of that video.
