I'd rather they didn't rush it. Good things come to those who wait.

I've just delayed it further anyway cuz I just found a new bug with L8! I can make it do peculiar things in 29/8 and 17/4 and crash it repeatedly in a few songs of mine. Wrote a 4/4 song last night and it was solid though. They're looking at it...

If my customers were this annoying I'd probably say "What's the point?" and give up!

Seriously, is there a worse market than belligerent amateurs armed with bad info and the self-entitlement of a 3 year old.
"you guys suck, my techno sounds muddy!"

If I was them I'd jump ship and write a nice corporate database package.

Normally I say nothing but... this is ridiculous; Live 9 doesn't exist, no one knows what its like and people are desperate to see it. Its just a tool, like a chisel or a spreadsheet - the idea of grown adults getting excited to see it - at this stage, when there is no information on what new possibilities it can offer, is just embarrassing. if you're a musician focus on developing your art rather than looking for some cheap buzz from a product development cycle. Its fucking sad.

but at least you can say to yourself "great another arrogant banker talking about 'the database', but at least it's worth another bonus Lamborghini in my mansion"
At Ableton they get to say "great another mouthy jerk who barely understands bit depth, well at least I get new tyres on my damn butcher bike. Ah no wait - I don't 'cos this guy pirated it and I'm on a flat wage"

;)

Sorry, but I can't see what's the problem with the OPs question.

Abletons are veeery quiet for a long time now and I'm very sure TK isn't the only one here, how's curious when we all will get some news.

For me it's ok, if it takes it's time, but it would be nice to know, if they do a complete rewrite to fix the old core related issues like sync-problems, session view automation aso. And I'm also hoping for some GUI-news, because working with internal instruments and fx doesn't do well since screen resolutions got higher.

So maybe TK has similar reasons for being curious and it's not while he a three year old kid, hows techno tracks sound muddy.

And now you can fetch up your verbal weapons again and shoot on me! :D
