How to record audio from a DVD

Post by jer_mcclain » Mon Feb 07, 2005 8:16 pm

Is there a way to record audio into Live (or any other recording software) from a DVD other than recording it from an outside source. What I mean is if there is a way to route the audio from a DVD playing on my laptop into Live.

total recorder or soundforge can do this.

you just need to have the input on those apps set to "wave out mix"

DVD Audio Ripper is a good program to use to actually 'rip' the audio straight off a DVD to WAV rather than recording from outside source.
