So im trying my to learn ableton. Im wonder how I make it so a sound wont loop. Also what are the samplers and how do I use them? Also how can I make it so when I press on a sound, I keep pressing and it will restart the sound, not wait for the bpm.

1. Double click the clip you want to edit and it opens clip edit view. Turn the Loop option off.

2. Samplers are devices that eat audio.

3. I assume you are talking about clips again: open the clip edit view and change the Launch settings of that clip to which ever quantization you find best for your need. In case Launch options are not viewed on the left side column of the clip edit view, click the tiny L in the left bottom corner.

Now go and read the manual and do the attached tutorials.
MBP OSX 10.6.8, Live 8.4, MFII, Evolver, Monomachine, Octatrack, APC40, Launchpad
