Operator - is it worth it?

Post by Davyn » Wed Feb 09, 2005 1:51 am

What's the general consensus about Operator. I've been playing with it and, for me, the jury is still out about whether I think it is worth a purchase.

What do other people think? I'd like to hear pros and cons of Operator.

the general consensus is pretty schizofrenic.
its awesome, overpriced, worth it, simple, cheap, dumb, the best ever.

in the end, it doesnt matter what other people think. Buy it if you like it. But i will say this, the best things in life are loved and hated by many.

I think it sounds pretty good, but it's a processor pig, and isn't worth the CPU hit, unlike Reactor which is definitely worth the hit, to me at least.

Also personally I don't like embedded plug ins much. I like to be able to use the same settings in other DAWs.

BTW there are about a million Operator threads on this board, try hitting the search button and read enough information on Operator to make you nauseous. :P
