Just curious as to what are your favorite Reaktor ensembles...

mine are:

thriller (dont miss this one)
t'wanger
acoustring
steampipe
carbon
limelite(electronic instruments vol2 version)

(processors)

grudge (dont miss this one)
laserbrew
white grains
orange grains

most of these are available from the user library, except limelite which needs to be purchased as part of elelctronic instruments volume 2.

limelite is a favorite of mine. it's the original version which is not included in instrument2 package of NI. NI has taken it off the userbase... so I guess it's missing. don't know why, it really is one of the best drummachines I can think of. the presets are just fantastic.

fourtechre and squaretechre can take a short loop and transform it into a nicely tweaked-out IDMish long one. I usually use Reaktor outside of Live, and make loops that I can import into Ableton.

MF
Amphitryon (James Walker-Hall when Lost Audio was still going)
Padrone and Xantos (AuReality)
Resochord
Akkord

Free-
Kant, Descartes, Hobbes-actually, any of Ernest Meyer's Dead Philosophers' series.
Muraya
Numalik
Versus
ChantSam
Ice Pad
Fronobulax
3X
BTS Dream
and many, many more...
I also like my own stuff, but that goes without saying

I love banaan electrique, but its so hungry. is it true running it in standalone instead of a vst is significantly more efficient?

I like Fast FX, Photone, limelite and MF from EI2. Grobian from EI1. Massive is fun as is Vectory. Lots of others from the Library including my masterpiece Decasinsaw  (actually that was crap and only appeared for a few weeks in the prototyping section - what was i thinking........ 8O )

Lots of great choices in this thread. Don't forget Krypt . . . quite a beast to master (I'm not there yet), but always something usable . . .

Cheers.
