At the NI forums someone mentioned that Live 11 no supports Phyton 3 only while Live 10 supported Phyton 2. Therefore NI has to update their MASCHINE scripts as well...

Thank you for your work in creating these updates! I wondered if there is an update for Launchpad Pro as well? I loved using the step sequencer with my LPP. Thanks again!
yes. just released !
i did not fix the little bugs that are present in LPpro95 (because i cant figure out how to fix them) but it now works with live 11

Anyone who has spent more than one day with Ableton Live will probably know what the deal is with this bright red and dark red stuff.
If the scripts could always ensure that all tracks are NOT armed and then the track I select is ALWAYS armed, I would find that incredibly useful.
this is called implicit arming (used in instrument mode among other places).

you can disable it if you like :
"
- arm : holding arm for more than 0.5 seconds will toggle live's metronome. A very long press (2 sec) will alternate between auto arm of track and manual track arming. Colour of the button will reflect the selected mode. This is really useful if you have more than one controller/person interacting with Live.
"

It seems that it isn't working with the release of Live 11 either, at least not with my Launchpad Mk2.
i fixed LP95 for older launchpad + Live 11 and released a fix yesterday

I recently started with launchpad 95 + Ableton Live 10. I have a question about the grid setting in Instrument Controller Mode. I want to have the Push layout, where only the root note of the scale is highlighted. On my Laucnhpad the root note is amber and thats good, but 2 other notes are highlighted green.

I don't know that much about music theory but why is this and how do I get rid of those highlighted green pads?

Here is a photo of my launchpad-S and it's setting:

Hello and Thank You for this wonderful tool.
I am using it with Launchpad S on Live11 on Ubuntu Studio with Wine, works great, no issues at all.
Recently I have installed VST from FabFilter, great set, and I am having some issues controlling them in Device mode.
The problem is that there are no set variables like with other Ableton instruments,
and when I try to map one column to a variable ( say frequency, gain, Q...),
I get inconsistent results, sometimes it works, other times not. I try to use the built in MIDI learn feature of the plugins, but that doesn't work.
What I found to work is to, while in Device mode and without activating any MIDI learn, move the setting with the mouse and press a pad in the column of choice. Then I have to go in Instrument Controller mode and back into Device to see the lights go on to show the setting, and everything works fine.
But if I try to add more variables, they usually take the place of the ones already set, sometimes more column get added, sometimes not.
Is there a specific procedure to do this?
I don't know if this is specific to FabFilter, other plugins seem to work just fine.
Thank You again,
this is wonderful fun.

Hi again,
I found a solution, posting if anybody has the same problem.
You can use ControlChange8 Max For Live instrument https://www.roberthenke.com/technology/m4l.html ,
place it before the plugin and map the virtual knobs with the plugin midi learn.
Device controller will do its thing with the M4L device.
Beautiful

Hello guys,
sorry to bother again, but anybody else experiencing problems with Drumrack mode?
I am using Live 11, and unless the track is specifically a Drumrack, selecting Drumrack in scale mode does pretty much nothing for me, just go back to previously selected mode. It's not very handy for Drum plugins and such, I don't know if that's the way it is or I am doing something wrong.
I am using Launchpad95-Master from github.
On a side note, I tried the Launchpad with the Bitwig script, I really liked their drumrack mode, every note is assigned 4 pads, so it becomes a 4X4 grid. Really good for finger drumming, I was wondering how it could be inplemented in this script, I was looking at the actual code, but my coding skills are not very good to say the least...
Not a complaint at all, just a suggestion to move things forward.

Hello friends I have a LAUNCHPAD PRO can I use the launchpad 95 without problems?

another question is the script updated? here: https://motscousus.com/stuff/2011-07_No ... e_Scripts/

A friend passed me this article and it is quite fun to use the launchpad differently

Also, I recently had a chance of trying push 1 and 2 and was kind of shocked that in stock push script there is no randomisation function in the melodic step sequencer mode, like you get in launchpad95. It is an awesome feature for quickly getting a number of sequences down for various use cases...
I googled around and checked some documentation on push and it seems it's not there. Am I correct?

Yes correct!
Another great alternative is the Launchpad Pro MK3. It does not need this script because it has a 4 tracks built-in sequencer, and a "mutation" function which is a clever randomization :)
