BCR2000 might be worth looking at? Not the most portable solution.

That thing is dope, I want it really bad. A bit pricey, but it looks well worth it.

I use code from over month, I'm after BCR which was not only little too big, but also too plactic in terms of quality. In one year BCR was TWO times broken, rach time I must wait about 2 weeks for replace by seller. The same with BCF, because in bothm models encoders are most sensitive parts for destoing. I'm mean they loose their possibility to fast control, only work in slower rotation.
Now with code it is possible that encoders will be also first items for replace, but I have 2 spare encoders from Livid support, just in case when it will happen , I will be prepared.
But most important, Livid Code is smaller, better build, has more sexy look and work without hearable "clicks" when I touch buttons. On BCR/BCF buttons are very noisy. Unfortunately livid code has no click on buttons so it is the only place where BCF/BCR are better. Second thing, Behringers has more buttons on board. But again , overall I vote for Livid cODE.

Wow — that Code thing looks like it's exactly what I've been looking for. A bit pricey for what it does, though, and the spacing between the encoders seems a bit narrow...

As it happens I have a brand-new unused one for sale...

The Code device looks beautiful. I would buy it for the LED-light colors alone.

code is really tempting, I wonder if it's possible to have some kind of layers, using, i.e, the four left white pads to access 4 layers of the 32 knobs...

anyone here has tried this beauty with live??

cheers

Hi,

got the code since a week

I'm disappointed, maybe I'll send it back.

1) pots are way to close one from each others, so you really have to make little moves so as not to move other pots...
2) sensitivity is too much, just touch the pot by mistake, and the led goes blue
3) from scratch, I got problems with the white pads. I tried to assign them to mute buttons, but they do not respond correctly, and not all with the same behavior. Some pads do shut down others when turned on, some don't send midi...

so far there is no problem with the encoders, but I don't feel them really useful for live harsh tweakings...

We will test it live on next saturday, then decide if we keep it or not...

drehbank would be a good alternative to us, but it's quite impossible to find one...

any idea for a DIY stuff?? (we have a friend who knows electronic work)

cheers
