This is just the situation, new musicians would rather be beat makers, producers and DJs than guitar rock stars.

I'm definitely calling bullshit on that one.

F**K being a guitar rock star, I just want to sit on the beach and strum out my favorite tunes.

Which one of his workshops would you be interested in. I'll be signing up for his 'Home Swinger Workshop'.
Sounds like a hoot.

Don't think I'd be dragging a laptop down the beach to jam out some beats. It wouldn't be the same.

unfortunately, it'll be just the monochord workshop, which can be found on the net many times (think Jack White).
Anyway, it is in collaboration with my old employer www.champdaction.be and will be followed by an arty performance in Antwerp's Museum for Modern Art... :?

Lot's of room for experimentation though, at a price you can't even buy the parts for yourself 8)

and strumming the guitar in my garden, banging loud techno beats, or spacing into the night on my guitar through valhalla's shimmer and a gazillion fx... I like it all, it's all music, thus good.

Nothing beats listening to zappa...

Frank Zappa, technically and inventively miles ahead of any contemporary musician of his time. People like Pierre Boulez, Igor Stravinsky, Karlheinz Stokhausen, Edgar Varese could understand his music.

Oh, no,...sorry people , I was wrong;

It is in fact a Mosquito that can live for three days on one grain of rice. (Not an Arab)

.....Its just that they are next to each other in my alphabetically ordered book of facts.
And I was sure you meant "A mosquito can live for three days on an arab" (not a grain of rice).

yeah,.... 'mosquito' was right next to 'mosque' in my book of a million facts.

easy mistake to make at my age.

Sorry for the confusion (and of course apologies to any esteemed Live users of the Arab Nations that packed a single grain of rice for a long journey only to be left hungry.)

I think guitar rock bands are on the way out. The guitar itself? Naw. Look at people like Christian Fennesz of Oren Ambarchi.

And metal will never die.

Digging all the Zappa love here 8)

Best live show ever....was lucky to catch him/them in London in the 80's before he died (Think it was his last UK appearance).

The whole band blew me away, tightest performance...

Anyone seen Zappa Plays Zappa?

They're due to play the UK soon, may have to take a look...

This video got me into Zappa when I was an mere egg -
