A good idea would be making a sticky with a link to the FAQ.
Most of it is covered there.
Now it's accessible by clicking on Faq in the support tab.

But it would have so much more impact at the top of the forum

OK, I phrased that badly. You should not take advantage of those who know more than you when the information is there for the finding.

Do I phone the expert or do I read the article that he wrote for the encyclopedia?

too lazy to do research? FYI i did a search and found nothing relevant to my specific question in mind.

also, sometimes people don't have the time to search through 150 threads for a sentence!

thanks for nothing.

There is a VST mp3 player available at http://askywhale.free.fr/vst/#MP3PLAY
Don't use the obvious "Download Here" link, it leads to a broken version. Scroll down to where it says:
"04/03/08 Mp3Play 2 first public beta available here (src). Please report bugs"

It's not the same as having mp3 support in live, with clip envelopes and everything, but it's got various features that make it fun to play with. (variable speed, stuttering, scratching, etc)

PC only I'm afraid (the source code is available under the GPL for anyone wanting to make a mac version).

Tried that to, now.
mp3play has a fun jogg wheel to emulation tape winding.
But it's a CPU eater - looping a mp3 gets the meter in Live to jump between 8 and 198 % for me.

"smelly ass french fruitcake" ?? no but you could

See guys,
people ask stupid questions then tell you shit about it and then it's never ending.
I personly learned tons o' stuff here, by reading post and checking/googling stuff... I'm happy to help w/ all humility and expect the same from people who ask STUPID question, don't give you half the story (ex 'Hi I'm on Mac/Pc Iwanna do .blah blah)

so 92accordlxtune RTFM dumb ass. first thing I did before ever posting.
