ram brands for powerbooks?

Post by borg » Sun Feb 20, 2005 10:43 pm

it seems that powerbooks seem picky when it comes to which sticks work well (with Live? or in general?)...

can the people who have succesfully added ram to their PB, comment here on which brand/model/type they got? anything else to be aware of?

would be helpful...
thanks

andy

I have not tried this myself, but another forum member, vince watson, has had good experience with this company.

http://macramdirect.com

They have pretty good prices as well as a life time warranty.

There is also

http://www.crucial.com/

A little more expensive I think.

I've just got some Corsair Value Select (picking up tomorrow) - anyone had experience with this in Powerbook?

should be ok. i've had much bad luck with ram and my powerbook. i'd say buy a brand you know with a warranty.
