i'm looking for a program that will allow me to see the corresponding midi data to songs.
not necessarily stuff with drums but more classical type stuff
ideally what i would want it to be something like the itunes visualizer, but rather than light patters to see notes going across the screen piano roll style.
anything out there like this?

DDMF chord detector.
Won't show you the voicing but it will show you the chord.

Re: audio to midi
melodyne is able to recognize audio and translate to midi.
the "editor" version can do that polyphonic too (and as far as i know it's the only one).
great tool! mainly for correcting detuned stuff but it's also very good for analyzing.

Photoshop for audio!
(not of course midi as midi is of course pure music whereas audio is only sound)
