Got it.
Best thing is that I can export project from iMaschine to the Maschine.
Nice little app. Great as sketchpad.

Downloading it now. Something tells me I might not be getting to bed until late late late tonight playing with this.

wee bit annoying and crap that you can't record the automation of tweaking effects while recording
nice sketchpad and great having so much control over the pads. that's where nano studio falls down.
but nano studio is a far better overall app. and considering nano studio is made by 1 guy!!!
i did expect a wee bit more from NI here.

Really having a lot of fun with this app.
It's not the most full-featured drum sequencer on the planet, but it's great for what it set out to be - a sketchpad.
Pros:
- The sounds are great, with a wide selection of both classic and ultra-modern sounds. You can buy more sound packs in the in-app store. You can also record your own sounds with the iPhone's mic.
- Really cool features: it offers 4 groups, each with its own volume control and 2 sends (7 fx to choose from). Each group can hold a drumpad, synth or sampler. The drumpad offers pitch and velocity control for individual sounds.
- Slick-looking, intuitive interface. Took me 5 minutes to get the hang of everything. (I wonder if the Maschine is this easy to get into)
- You can export your projects into .wav or straight to your soundcloud account. And also to your Maschine, though I don't know how this works. (Would be great if Maschine owners could shed light on this)
Cons:
- No step sequencer. Bizarre.
- No iPad app. (It looks pixelated on the iPad if you blow it up to full-screen, but it's not that bad. In fact, I found the iPad experience to be more pleasurable, since everything is bigger and so easier to tweak/tap)
It's not exactly a gateway drug to Maschine, but for $5, it's a great buy.

Installed it and having a play - I have to ask - WTF didnt they do a proper version for the iPad????
And OT - just bought Alchemy pro for the iPad as well - pretty impressive - just wish there was a way to sync it with imaschine.

I hope that they will do an iMassive to run along with the iMaschine
The iMachine looks like a fun scetch pad to use in the bus. I have Nano Studio, but to be honest i haven't been using it a lot lately.. iMaschine looks that it is more suited for quick on-the-go creation. NS takes too damn much of pinching, zooming and losing my temper
I'm going to give it a go.

Not seeing the point of this unless you're singer or something. Works for this guy, obviously. NanoStudio pretty much does 95% of this anyway.
Must be nice to be in bed with the wife/GF all day. Those NI endorsement checks must be HUGE. LOL.
