How do you make and program the ubiquitous techno blip/bleep

Post by djadonis206 » Thu Oct 13, 2011 8:25 pm

Anyone care to share how they make and sequence the techno blip/bleep that's found on every techno and tech house track

I'm curious

Good point. When I get to laptop or desktop I'll post some examples.

Sine wave with a fast attack and a quick envelope on the filter maybe?

I'm procrastinating on writing a paper so I'm trying to make a bleep :)

I can't hear any "bleep" or "blip" in this example...????

I think you need at least 4 or 5 oscillators with complex LFO modulation, filtering and compression. I don't think you'll be able to do this without reaktor 6 and Max4live. You can also search the hardware modular route, but you'll need a lot of cables to patch everything in and out.

good luck

BLEEEEEEP

ps: or, just sample a bleep? (there are lots of bleeps in lots of sample CDs... but it won't explain you how they are achieved.... secret magic)

Maybe it's a blop, or a blap. No, blop, possibly a blip. No, most likely a blop. That's poor communication on my part

Yupp, sounds like some pitched percussions with synced delays. I would try FabFilter Timless for the delays. They have some nice presets which also uses filters and stuff.
