Including:

Traktor-like looping and ability to save loops as new clips in your set from the app.
Rebuilt mixer
Native templates for Impulse, Auto filter, and Ping pong delay (but not drum racks, simpler/sampler or operator? Wrrryyyyyyyyy)
Improvements to snapshots of XY pads
And more

Anyone tried this yet?

Do we have to use bonjour to connect? Or can we keep using the existing connection method that we are using now? Win 7(64) here.

The update notes say "Touchable will prefer a wired connection if available" so Bonjour definitely isn't required. Presumably whatever method you've been using to connect will continue working just fine.

Nope, although I don't mind that Touchable and Griid aren't competing head to head on exactly everything. And both of them still don't have lots of things.

The midi clip editing in Griid is really cool, but I think the loop generation/manipulation in Touchable may be cooler, and I'm still waiting to see when one of them takes a stab at drawing in automation on the touchscreen.

On the other hand, I find touch keyboards to be mostly unusable, and touch drumpads not much better, plus I have physical versions of both of those things plugged into my computer, so I could care less that Touchable has them and Griid doesn't.

I have no idea what I do wrong...
but I cannot connect my touchable to my macbook pro.

I have set up the "ethernet" connection. (there is an arrow in my right top corner and I connected my ipad to my computer"
Opened "touchable server"

i open live

I open the ipad app

but no reaction.
the application starts up, but that's all, no connection to my ableton software and my app.

what do I do wrong?

what is 'bonjour'?
maybe it has something to do with that... I try to connect on my ethernet network

It works now, I found it in the manual (some settings have been changed, I didn't see that)

I have one more question.
I use ethernet... but then I cannot use my bluetooth internet. So I have to switch internet off all the time.
Can I use the Ipad Touchable with ableton, in combination an internetconnection?

Nice that they've made a few more templates for devices, not that I use those particular devices at all (impulse?)

Operator template is what I've really been waiting for. i think the actual functionality is pretty mature (although it could use a midi editor like griid's cliip). An operator template would be the #1 thing i'd like to see.

Oh and does the device parameters show names of max device macros yet? (like Covert Operators 16 macros etc.)

To use an internet connection while using touchAble you can either use an AdHoc network that shares the internet connection the PC/Mac gets over ethernet - or to use a WiFi router to connect iPad and PC/Mac that can access to the internet.

Any advances on figuring out how to display the names of the parameters assigned to max devices?
