Need your help. Any idea why im getting audio spikes???

Post by cacti » Wed Nov 09, 2011 11:25 pm

Im getting and huge audio spike just on my drum midi track when I start and stop my song. Im in arrangment view. Im using drum rack with all ableton drum kits. I thought it might have something to do with my send/returns in the drum racks but it doesnt seem to be the case.

any clue?

thanks

depends on whats going on in the Drum Rack. For example, I like the Puremagnetik TrapKit acoustic drums rack. It will spike my CPU big time because the voices in the various racks are set to 16 or more maybe. So when kicks and snares etc are triggering it is actually playing a bunch of high quality samples at once.

Other Ableton racks are using things like Operator, those can be CPU heavy too.

There are a lot of factors. Can you be more specific? Or you can dive into the rack and see what needs to be optimized.

well its audio spikes, not cpu. I had a parallel compression rack at the end that I deleted that seems to have fixed it. Its weird though cuz I have the same rack on all my other tracks.
