I agree to a point. I'm a PC person. I use desktops that I've built and don't care for laptops. If I were to use a laptop, I would consider a Mac before PC.

Mac/PC whatever. Each day someone posts something on the net. You read it and think that's the Universal Truth.
Real freedom comes from choice. Real freedom comes from comparison and informed choice.
I have both. Win7 needs to be nurtured to get turned into a DAW and in that case, it performs better.
However for Music I prefer using my iMac and old Macbook because I do not have to tune anything and that's
what sold me the Apple idea.

my 2 cents.

Obviously pencilrocket is an amateur or he would have known that Macs sound better!
Sure you can have your home studio PC, but in the real pro world people use Macs because the music translates to every hi fidelity stereo system at the highest quality. PC's have "pro" DAWs like Fruity Loops for making your video game music. No pro uses Pro Tools on a PC, it's all Mac, and there's a reason why! Macs have Digital Performer <- proper name for a pro DAW, which recently won a sound quality test using Macbook Pros, because even Macbook Pros sound better than your home built or Dell toy machine! :P

i just did a test to see if you are right about this, i took a dell laptop and a macbook pro, set them side by side (no need to power them on for this test) and i started asking them questions. from my test the macbooks answers did sound a little better. the mac book had a more soothing voice. so yeah macbooks sound better. the pc didn't really want to talk.

I own both a Windows 7 desktop and a 2011 MacBook Pro and both have their uses. In terms of real-live (audio) perfomance, my MacBook is winning.

Pencil rocket reminds me of that scene out of Pulp Fiction.

English muthafucka, ENGLISH! Do you speak it?! English!!!

His grasp of the written English language is inspiring.

You should always pay extra special attention to those who purposefully use the language, correctly.

No. The correct answer as to which is better is, "it depends".

For me, the lack of a proper shell is enough of a reason to avoid using a Windows machine unless I have to.
Any flavor of Linux would make me happier for my programming and scientific computing endeavors.
OS X is a reasonable compromise for my needs since it's built on top of free BSD, provides a rather slick user experience, along with a large enough selection of useful commercial apps.

But again, that's just me. Somebody's grandmother or a gamer might think otherwise, and that's OK.

Be thankful for having choices, make one, and then get on with getting on.
