DVD Rom-spectrasonics
Stylus rmx requests a DVD rom... would any dvd rom work for this? I see them go from 30-300 bucks... if I could get away with the one that goes for $40 that would be great....

Hmm...I didnt know Spectrasonics was charging $30 for anything. Stylus RMX was a free upgrade for me but I still paid somewhere around $250 for it. They recently came out with another upgrade which they may have charged $30 if you wanted that upgrade on DVD. I can see the cost of packaging, dvd, and shipping charges coming in at $30.

My internal hard drive is almost full... But I have a external 80 gig 7200 rpm, that is connect through usb... Could I use that to run Live, and all spectrasonics gear from that??? Or would I need to get a internal one..(which i dont know if my computer has a slot for it)..
Thanks for the help though

Sixto,
It looks like Stylus Rmx comes on a DVD-rom, so I think your going to need a DVD-rom drive to install it. I would suggest you get a DVD writer rather than just a DVD reader, it will probably not cost much more that just a DVD-Rom drive, you can then use the DVD writer to backup and archive the stuff on your PC as well.
Also I was under the impression that Stylus Rmx was a bit of a pain to use with Live, because you can’t drag and drop the midi files? Please correct me if I’m wrong on this.

Stylus is a bit of a pain to use in live, I've talked to people at Spectrasonics and I hope they'll fix it soon (the only problem being you have to have a special folder set up on your desktop for midi files, it's not so drag/dropable). Stylus is pretty amazing thought, beats just create themselves. You're not the Sixtoo who made "Chewing on Glass" are you? Great album if it was you...J
