i am sorry to offend anyone about their nationality
i just felt it was ridicoulous that every other country was written in english
but somehow i am supposed to know my own countrys name in a language that is foriegn to me
my intention was not to start a flamewar and yes my post is stupid but i got mad because i tried to buy a couple of those devices and after several attemps i gave up

you could type something like "united states french translation" into google.shrugs

I'm not looking to pick a fight or be disagreeable just for the sake of it but no they weren't. I too had an issue finding the appropriate word for the USA so I called my girlfriend in to translate for me and she pointed it out. However, there were a few more that were not in English so I will assume they were in French: Albanie, Inde, Japon, Mexique, Russie. I'm not upset really. They are a French institution and mainly serve who they want to serve. However, they did go through the trouble to get the form correct. It's just the control on the form that probably needed some type of scripting to identify where a browser is located so it can get the rest right. It didn't happen. Big deal.

Now to be fair, they really should not just call us the U.S. It should really be the U.S.A. I mean we could be mistaken for the United States of Mexico

I really hope this doesn't seem as clueless as other comments...

how do you download the free plug-ins?

as far I can tell, there is only the Order button and I clicked that, followed the process (using google to confirm my assumption that Etats-Unis meant USA (which is similar to Estados Unidos which is USA in Spanish)), received my confirmation email.... and I can't seem to find any download link or way to get the plug-ings. I just repeated the process to see if perhaps I missed something the first time and it seems that I've missed something the second time as well...

aside from the free plug-ins, these others look interesting, especially the SuperVPsynth which seems to be somewhat like a software version of Roland's VP-9000. I do agree however that €139 (or about $180 USD) seems a little pricey, especially since I do have a VP-9000 and V-Synth, but that is also why this has caught my eye as a Live integrated software version would be very nice. Although, I also think that this is something that might make more sense had it been integrated into Sampler.

Overpriced

always overpriced with IRCAM...

These devices were first designed for live 9...
it seems like ableton are running short OR they tremendously need fresh devs in their team (?)

I think Ircam should offer VST/AU plugins or they should add an edit function.

Max for Live without edit button makes no sense for me.
