Third Party EQ Macros
Third Party EQ Macros
When building an instrument rack with a third party EQ the macro displays 1-127 instead of frequency or db. I there a way to change this?
Re: Third Party EQ Macros
i dont know which third party eq youre using, but often if you right-click on the macros you get an option on what values to display. hope that helps.
Re: Third Party EQ Macros
Yeah, not seeing that option. Tried it with a few different plugs too.
Re: Third Party EQ Macros
If the VST or AU doesn't provide the info the Live then there's really nothing you can do.
Re: Third Party EQ Macros
It just seems weird because the macro numbers are 0-127 but when you hover over the macro with the mouse the value in db or Hz shows in the status bar at the bottom, so I know it is recognizing the information. It just isn't translating it to the macro. Sees like there should be a workaround or a setting somewhere. That way you can have your third party eq windows closed and just focus on the effect rack chains and be able to see which frequencies you are adjusting and by how many db, not just arbitrary numbers. Seems like it should be such an easy adjustment. Frustrating!

Re: Third Party EQ Macros
you on Live 7 or 8? i think Live 7 only had the 0-127 values on the macros.
either that or maybe you have more than one thing mapped to the macro..?
