Extracting MIDI info from audio

Post by stevemac » Thu Jan 05, 2012 10:18 pm

Hi guys, did a search but only found one question without an answer :)

I know Melodyne can extraxt midi date from audio files, but is there another (cheaper) way of doing this (besides using your ears and playing alongside)??

cheers all! :)

idk if you have ever looked into The Mouth by Native Instruments? never actually tried it out, but the demo video looks pretty promising

Capo for Mac can do this, sort of. You'll have to enter the notes yourself. But it analyzes where they start/end and what the pitch is.
