no worries, that sounds about right for a DnB fan.

:P

you're so bitter about Live yet so totally blindly trusting of Bitwig. it's the same people that wrote buggy Live code, they just left to write their own buggy code, without an income.
No worries that's the kind of reply I'd expect for a christian rock fan :P

those guys are as opposite from me as you can get. like you they have absolute faith in something that doesn't exist, and horrible taste in music. good luck with that.

The good news: In general, it aparently rocks.. You can have native plugs controlling each other, and its mapable like Lives style of one click maping macros. Ex: You can have the lfo from one synth to modelate the filter of another.
Sounds like the modular routing you can do in Logic's environment window. Very cool ...

you didn't bother to watch the videos or look at the pictures? this is gonna be the greatest DAW ever and you're wholly uninformed?

hey, what's that one drum and bass track with the bass that gets all wobbly and uses that old school drum loop? you know the one...

/taking the piss. ;)

agreed, the modular synth stuff looks pretty cool. it's not so much what I can do with it, it's the presets that users would be able to come up with. they already do cool stuff with just operator (for example,) but having operator/analog/effects bundled into one could get pretty amazing.

AFAIK this is only for native synths, you couldn't have Massive tweak Sylenth instances, for example.

surely Ableton will do this for Live 10. c'mon you bastards, release something!!! 64 bit was only a short fix.

No, I'm sure it's going to be riddled with bugs for the first few months and there's a lot they're describing that's going to be more limited than they let on to in the description. But the editing looks much more interesting, the stacked midi editing in particular is something I use in Logic all them time. So it looks like Live and they basically jacked the performance window, Big deal. Cubase, Logic and Pro Tools all look the same in their own respects too... I think it looks promising, and the fact that they obviously implemented features that people have been asking for in Live forever is good new AFAIC.

And FYI, I don't do drum n bass, I do filmscore and Live is not my main DAW Logic is. When I need to work quickly and write cues that don't have to be cut to picture I like Live because it's fast. A DAW with an ever quicker workflow than Live would simply make my life a lot easier when writing under a deadline... but your flames were pretty amusing. ;)

agreed, time will tell. it was a shock to see a copycat of Live but we shouldn't have been. the competition will be good for us, I imagine they'll have to listen more closely to users lest Bitwig should respond to us first.

I can understand having a more traditional DAW and a Live-like DAW to round out the tool set but would people have two Live-like DAWs? is that too much overlap? probably too soon to tell.

nice to meet you, this place is often used to blow off steam at work. :P

yeah, I'm sure Gerhard is watching this thread panicking that they won't get Live 9 out in time for page 100. post counts - that's what drives business.

I still LOL when I read that.

you most certainly won't find me at a prison, a biker rally, chorch or a county fair. my favorite is their version of 'Hey Joe', "hey hey Joe, where you going with that bible in your hand."

seriously??? that's blasphemy, a-hole.
