finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta 'soon'...
Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta 'soon'...
The tabs on the top of the bitwig screen, I guess this means it can load multiple songs. That's something which will be very useful, I often need to construct alternative arrangements.

What, bitwig? How would you know?

dozens of screenshots can't be wrong...

This has been the single most glaring omission from Live for eons for me -- and, I suspect, anyone whose live set consists of distinct songs as opposed to one continuous performance. Even if Bitwig has nothing else to offer over Live, this one feature would be enough to push me to switch -- the clutter and wasted time on combining complex songs into one big set is an unnecessary pain, and loading sets live between songs is never a good idea.Angstrom wrote:The tabs on the top of the bitwig screen, I guess this means it can load multiple songs. Yes indeed. If this offers a way to work complex projects back to back.....Here's hopingSibanger wrote:

I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now, what I'm with isn't it, and what's "it" seems weird and scary to me.

I hope it works with push!
I slipped into a daze, whilst I was there I heard the most startling music, it was at once familiar and alien, reassuring and unsettling.

So after 19-20 months, we finally are seeing signs of life for this live killer. I still don't know the price (but suspect 450) and there is STILL no release date (so we don't know if will be weeks or more months) Over at KVR you can ask questions (it's sad to see the cat pics go!) but now everyone who has waited (and waited) will someday be able to bitwig to your hearts content.
Congratulations! Biwig, you've come a long way baby!

Hmm... I believe Bitwig needs to prove itself on the market a couple of years until it has the potential of seriously challenging Ableton Live. The individual note pitch envelopes were very cool though. I can't wait to see the corresponding functionality being adopted by Live.

what I like most about bitwig, is that they are building a sort of live from scratch. All the updates and the migration to 64 bit has made live a patchwork, I like the idea of a new software, though I´d miss corpus . I would be amazed if bitwig wasnt way less cpu consuming, but we´ll see.

To hell w/ Bitwig.
I'm sick of hearing about this bull-shit vapor-ware.
Bitwig sucks and Live is 1000% better than Bitwig!!! Do you know why? Because Live exists and Bitwig does NOT!!! End of story

Hasn't this been going on since like 2006 or something?
