Anyone used the Akai EIE Pro sound card yet?

Hi ! Sorry to "wake up" such an old thread but I'm considering buying that one too and I was wondering how well does it performs now we are mid-2013. Any feedback from actual users ? I'm under win 7 x64 both on a laptop and a desktop.

I'm wondering how well it performs in ASIO cases (when using it in a DAW) but also in everyday live (direct sound, WASAPI etc ...) because my desktop is also my media center. Best regards,

Any alternatives with 4 inputs in this price range would be good, although I'm kind of in love with the looks of that one

I never got it to work on my Windows 7, 64 bit, USB 3 Sony Vaio. In the end I gave up trying and sold it cheap to a friend who uses it faultlessly on an older Vaio running 32 bit XP with USB 2.

Audio quality seems very good and features are great but the sound always breaks up after a few minutes of use (my experience) Maybe give it a try but make sure you have the right to return it.

I ended up going with a Scarlett Focusrite 18i6 and never looked back. It's been absolutely brilliant for me.

Absolutely but people seem not to have too many problems with that one. The EIE pro seems to be more random
