Live 9.0 - What and When?????

Post by sauvm » Mon Feb 06, 2012 6:42 pm

Hey Ableton!

Many of us users are very keen on Live and enjoy using the software to create wonderful music. We are always looking forward to upcoming Live releases. Can you shed some light on what is in store for Ableton Live 9.0, in terms of new features, and when you think it will be released?

Thanks for the heads-up!

:D :D :D :D

Ableton Live 9 will have 128 bit support, dual monitor support up to 1920 x 1200 and quad monitor support up 1680 x 1050. There will be no aliasing due to the new vector based automation algorithm and of course the new comping feature... it works like warping audio only it automatically comps audio instead of warping it. The sound Engine has a 3 phase filter on it to a eliminate certain forms of dither. It will be released at midnight on July 4th to celebrate independence from standard OS models since this version can run on Linux and stickers are now included with the download version.

We're really excited!

Live9 also has a dedicated special composing device, like a consumer version of fMRI imager. It reads magnetically your brain activity. You don't need a MIDI keyboard anymore, all you have to do is to think about a melody or drum loop and it will appear on your screen.

Bitwig will create a template of specific instruments and effects based on your sun sign. Nuff said.

You'll still need proof when it was last tested, though.

Depends on the laws in your location, but I'm sura alpha would get you locked up no matter where, some places like the bible belt here in the states allow beta, but the moral issue is still debatable.

I would stick with official releases and read reviews before going forward just to play it safe; make sure there's no itching or discolored areas, burning while urinating, etc.

thanks for the heads-up. in that case live 9 and i will both get tested before anything happens just to be sure. hopefully we test positive for each other, not anything else.

The big question is will Live 9 have a "Make me like Skrillex" instrument.

I'm currently using 9, it can't read my brain yet so whats the point? live 8 is almost just as good and a fistful of dollars is always the preferred way to roll.
