i think dubstep has gotten a bad rap of late

the US really missed the best part imo, like the first 5 years...it did not 'arrive' here til it was stripped of its best elements...oh well

or IS missing the best parts.

This same thing happend to Hip Hop, yet that was within the US altogether. Granted Hip Hop did evolve for a while into many things some good some bad, yet it mutated fast in just a few short years after it's inception.

it was here, it was underground, not allot of people cared until they where told to by the mass marketing and pop stars.
funny thing is now people that talked shit about dubstep are all into lol!!
what ever,
the crew that started the first dubstep night in Austin, TX back in 2006 just stopped the night it recently.

I saw Parsons at the Green Elephant in Dallas, along with a lot of other killer shows. Have not been there in a long time, not sure if the Bro's took over or not.

What do you mean the same thing happened to hip hop? Was there another part of the world that really "got it"

I just meant it evolved far from what it began as, very fast. I'm not even saying a lot of that evolution was a bad thing, but it was definitely different than someone like Bambaataa spinning Gary Numan, Kraftwerk, Blondie, James Brown cuts, and other funky breaks.
