blimey. Not only is dubstep dead, it looks like it's corpse is being kicked around by Michael Flatley's daughter.

dubstep is neither here nore there.

but the best video of hers is by far this one, it's like a crazy ableton live advertisement, reminds me of the adverts for reason and maschine.

she's a very nice person and anyone willing to be nice and put themselves out there for the rest of us to gufaww about is cool in my book.

As you know I'm not particularly in to dogging on musicians who've made it, it's sort of silly, but would you feel the same way if she was a 200lb white guy with acne and a nasal voice? My guess is not a chance.

My impression is she plays the violin really well, she maybe overplays a bit, but that's not a sin, and I want her to stop trying to do interpretive dancing while she plays, it's distracting. That's my taste though. Also, and IMO this is a sin, she needs to stop apologizing for playing a classical instrument. IE "violins can rock out, party, do Dubstep, blah blah!" I'll give her credit for not using her "girl" status as well though, that would be even more annoying in youtube titles: "Girl violinists can rock out and do Dubstep too by golly!!"

I’ve no cringe left in me. I got through about 40 seconds of the video.

Despicable.

thing is i didn't like any of it, not the music and not the dancing and I doubt I'd give a fat white guy with acne any more credit, but I'd give him the same credit for being a nice person willing to put himself out there. thats all I can personally give her credit for

I actually really enjoyed the video.

That said, I think it's pretty funny that anything with a halftime beat is automatically dubstep nowadays.
