Android Ableton controllers?

Post by 23kon » Sat Feb 25, 2012 10:45 pm

One of my friends that I make tunes with and sometimes gig with got himself a Samsung Tablet (even though I told him to go the ipad route) and has just got himself a new android phone too.

I've got a iPad myself and use TouchAble, Griid, MidiTouch, TouchOSC and other apps for music making and controlling with Ableton Live.

I was wondering if anyone on here could suggest any decent similar apps for these platforms.

I'm mostly interested in finding out about ableton controller or programmable midi controller apps.
But also if there's any decent synth/303/808emulators out there too.

Friends don't let friends get Android to make music.

He opted for the android tablet because it was mostly for watching dvds and surfing web whilst out in his car and it hooked up to his system in the car easier as it could be plugged into his hard drive in there or something.
Music making was a secondary thing for him.

I DID try and persuade him to get an iPad and he's seen what I can do with mine.

for now touchosc is very mimited because you can't edit the presets with the editor. But maybe the presets would suit you.
