I just bought a subscription to Tom Cosm's website... going to get cracking on Intro to Digital Audio Production - is this worth my time to spend 10 hours on this? Even though I don't plan to make his style of music, I guess it is worth watching and trying to reproduce?

Alright, well I think I'll get cracking with Tom's 10-hour intro to digital audio production where he makes a track from start to finish, I think that will help me immensely.

Re: Tutorials
yes, look up Vespers on youtube as well, and quantize courses, and dubspot
Re: Tutorials
Thanks, I won't be paying for lessons though.
Re: Tutorials
There's tons of free ableton tutorials out there! There's also a fair amount ok kinda-okay ableton tutorials that are mostly a waste of time. All of Tom Cosm's stuff I've seen is of very high quality so I've no doubt you'll get your money's worth.
I've "hand sorted" some of the best and they're all free. See my website:

Re: Tutorials
I like Tom Cosm's stuff, yet they are kind of long sometimes, yet full of detail. His tutorials are great especially if your new to Live.
Vespers, eh
Ill Gates, offers a lot of knowledge along with some other ideas about being creative not just Live specific. The last few things I watched of his were really impressive and inspiring.

Re: Tutorials
Toms stuff is great. I think you can waste a ton of time on YouTube. Everyone on the planet seems to want to tell you about how to create a "dubstep wobble" bass in Ableton.
For Operator and Analog i highly recommend Nick's work. WELL worth the money.
