Alva Noto and Ableton Live

Any Alva Noto fans out there? Looks like he's using Ableton Live and a Lemur. Looks like maybe a Motu Ultralite up there too.

i have following his art since the 90s and he's getting better and better every time. unlike the rest of the older guys in the scene.

Yep. He is a big inspiration for me. I recently learned though that he has someone else who does his visuals. Though it's still a great show I was bummed to learn it was someone else. I guess I shouldn't be, it's all about the end result. But for some reason it mattered to me to know he wasn't the guy behind the full experience (like many of us are).

Then again, maybe the ability to drive and delegate is why he's Alvo Noto and I struggle to get 1000 people to download a free release.

Not that I'm bitter... I also don't live in Europe where there is an actual audience for the music I like to make.
