Any Current, Credible Ableton Live 9 News
Got tired of reading Live 9 threads that branched off into discussions about spell checkers and rants about the value of 64bit images.
I'd like to keep this thread constrained to just Live 9 News, not speculation, not your feature requests or pissed off rants about how you've had enough and are moving to some other DAW. What's the latest? The only credible news I've gotten is that they are working on it and it's targeted for the "spring of 2012".

A guy I know told me in confidence that he knows someone who heard on the grapevine from someone close to someone who knows (but wants to keep incognito for obvious reasons), that the word on the street is "no".

Ableton has become extremely tight lipped every since Apple became the majority shareholder in February. Typical Apple stuff I guess, always keep new products in lockdown. Hopefully there will be a leak sometime though!

It's on the internet, I would hope that is evidence enough!
Also, TD told me.

keeping tight lipped has been a very smart move by apple/ableton. imagine how many hate threads there'll be on the forums by pc users when they drop support. i'll be logging off that day...assuming they drop support of coursetimothyallan wrote:Ableton has become extremely tight lipped every since Apple became the majority shareholder in February. if you go to http://rumorsaroundtheturtleneck.com you can quickly find out that Jobs had so much respect for Gates that he actually left him his Apple shares when he breathed his last. so Apple bought Live, but Microsoft has secretly acquired Apple and decided to make OSX part of the system32 folder executables. this means that OSX will run on more hardware but you have to find that hardware yourself now - code name Alley Cat.

@timothyallan...based on the limited searches I did http://www.gearslutz.com/board/music-co ... leton.html, the whole apple thing is BS...again, do you have a reference you can share?
Is it just me or is everyone being a bit cagey talking about Live 9?
