seems my clyphx problem was maybe more an ableton problem.
so, how can you make ableton's looping commands, for audio files, respond faster than one bar?
changing the quantization of ableton's looping controls

You see that Yellow "Linked" button under "Region/Loop" under the little dropdown menu where the cursor is? You want to click it so it's "Unlinked". This will allow you to set the Loop Start and End for the envelope which will be separate from the main loop, assuming you're talking about LSEQ.
