Just wondering if anyone's got any suggestions for some good quality processing plugins, so compressors, filters, eqs, mainly the basics, but some good quality stuff that I can rely on?
Thoughts?
Cheers

Re: VST Processing plugins
Well.. I'd love to go out and purchase this... but I have so many other expenses, and other things going on right now. http://www.ikmultimedia.com/t-racks/features/GDOGG wrote:Just wondering if anyone's got any suggestions for some good quality processing plugins, so compressors, filters, eqs, mainly the basics, but some good quality stuff that I can rely on?

Mix and master with the, "deluxe," version. As a long time Amplitube User.. I just, simply can not say enough about the company. Buy this. Need anything else for a great mix/master? No. Simply.. No.
Linear Phase has left the building..

I find the ableton EQ and compressor to be pretty good but if your looking for VSTs there are lots out there.
Focusrite compressors are nice, I like the midnight line.

Also have a friend who uses this one alot and says good things.

Recently I've tried some toneboosters stuff, the ferox (tape simulator), module (a bunch of modulation effects), and equalizer (EQ + spectrum) are nice. The reelbus can also add some grit to your drum bus.

I've heard good things about valhalla reverbs but have yet to try myself

Re: VST Processing plugins
There are so many that it is hard to just recommend just a few but here goes. Neve 88RS emulation from UAD. I use this on every single mix I do. It is responsible for almost everything that does not need some type of special flavor. Other must haves for me are the Slate Digital VCC & FGX. I also recommend the PSP Audio plugins very highly. Particularly the Neon HR, Master Comp. From Waves I use the SSL4000 at times and I love the Pluigchild. For reverb I am kinda out of touch and still use my copy of Wizoo
