i 'm using live for an interactive sound installation.
minimac starts - the apple script starts ableton live - works fine!
but when live crashes or there is an blackout the script doesn't work, because of the crash report!
is there any possibility to deactivate the crash report? or a script?
i found this thread....
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=161743
...but it didn't work for me!
tried to delete the CrashDetection.cfg file, but live still starts and asks for restore!
maybe it just works for windows....
i hope there is a solution - the exhibition starts next week!
thx!
sound installation auto start
Re: sound installation auto start
Try apple automator. I had similiar problems with booting and starting up live in my installation piece. The real problem is the automator or applescript.
Re: sound installation auto start
Hi pozek,
if i understand you correctly the problem is the file restoring dialog which appears after a crash, right?
This dialog can be suppressed with this option: -NoRestoreDocumentDialog
By the way, creating a crash report can be disabled with this option: -DisableAutoBugReporting
To enable an option please create a plain text file called Options.txt containing the desired option and put this file into Live's preferences folder:
Macintosh HD:/Users/[Username]/Library/Preferences/Ableton/Live x.x.x/
Cheers,
