Newbie question

Post by Async » Mon Mar 21, 2005 11:38 am

Hello,

Just like to say this looks like an excellent forum. I have just purchased Live 4, I am using at home along with my decks, here is my situation I using a desktop PC, but my screen is accessable but not the best to view. So what I am thinking is buying another TFT monitor and dual VGA card and mounting the monitor above the decks with a Mouse. My question is does anyone else here use this set-up and is it going to cause problrms?? Any help appreciated.

Why do you need a dual monitor setup if you are only buying one TFT display and your current monitor sucks?

I'll just warn you about dual display as a lot of music apps get glitchy with it... Live seems better about it, especially in 4.0...

Just seems kind of silly to go dual display if one of the monitors is kinda sucky.

Matrox make some 3 monitor cards.... but for 2 monitors any of the
standard cards will work.... Gforce, nvidia, ati whatever

Turn off windows effects.... like the menu scroll/slide effect...
