Looking for a guitar VSTi advice

Post by AlexRusin » Thu Jun 21, 2012 5:26 pm

Hello folks!
Through some months I wonder about achieving good sounding guitar in a track with VSTi software. Sometimes I want to do a nice summery trance tune or chillout and while I'm looking for a guitar there's nothing what's sounds good for me. Omnisphere guitars are too overprocessed. Looking for something like that: http://youtu.be/DzV2XsT5KtY?t=3m35s . Other Orjan guitar tracks are good for me too. My question is: which plugin will satisfy me? Do know good VSTi with nice guitar presets? If yes, I'll be happy to know the name :)

Next to Ableton's Tension (which I think isn't bad at all, with a little filtering of course, but still..) I've also grown to love String Theory. Free vst, comes very close IMO.
With kind regards,

Peter

Using the 'Power' Trio: Live 10 Suite (+ Push & Max 8 ), Reason 10 and Maschine Mk3 (+ the ultimate Komplete 12).

Lyrical Distortion is having a $10 sale! Many models to choose from. Both amped and direct(for use in amp sim). Must have Kontakt though. These are the most realistic guitars I've ever heard. Here's an overhyped shred guitar track. I ran Ripper Direct through Guitar Rig's Ramstein + Rob Papen's Delay + Truc-CM.
