Looking at some laptops and on a particular model that I'm considering one option is a 7200 rpm 500 GB hard drive and the other option is a 5400rpm 1 TB hard drive coupled with a 32GB SSD.
Which is better for Live? Will the SSD help me? What usage factors will come into play?

Re: fast HD or slow HD + SSD
after 2007, never buy a 5400 rpm drive.
SSD hard drives have limited writes. i would give my opinion on that, but someone will get angry. i'm assuming you're only going to install an OS and a few applications on a 32GB drive... so choose carefully if so... also, make sure that if you are installing Live on that drive that you install the library elsewhere or you'll be out of room in no time.
