Re: Need foot controller to on the fly record/play various loops
I am using 2 icon g-boards along with a bunch of other midi controllers to fire and record clips. Sorry but i cant attach a link due to my crappy chinese internet connection. When i try to get on the manufacturers site chrome reports a bad link. Amazon had them afaik but i dont want to link a resellers site here.
I bought mine directly in hong kong about a quarter year ago and never had an issue. If you can live without unlimited flexibility ( for instance: you cant change the midi channel, the device will always send on 10) and the fact that the LEDs do whatever they want instead of indicating the clips status you'll get some sturdy compact and cheapo devices that never miss a hit. The design is pretty ideal imo. U need more switches? Just add another board. Maybe i'll get a third one to control guitar fx.
Edit: it comes with mapping software and drivers, but you can map it like any other midimdevice in ableton. No bome or ox or yoke or anything.

I use a G-Board too. Very simple. But I'd like to have LED feedback, e. g. when I switch the chorus on, I'd like to have the button's LED on. Does anybody know how to do that?

Thanks for the tip on the UMI3, H2Only! I've never heard of this unit before and the price is excellent. This thing will definitely solve a few problems for me.

i love mine. simplicity is a wonderful thing. besides my bass, the thing is the most reliable piece of kit i own.
as a bonus, you can bludgeon someone with it and keep using it afterward.

I have discovered the Nektar Pacer... Wow, what a great controller. Quiet, easy to control pedals live.

Hello.
I created a full and automatic Ableton Live and Nektar Pacer foot controller integration: https://payhip.com/mareq
It configures Pacer automatically, sets the colors according to Live's tracks colors, full LED feedback, record and trigger clips, group tracks support, audio overdubbing, zero need of Pacer configuration, automatic track arming, undo/delete all clips, scene/tracks mode, etc.
Full workflow for efficient live looping and operating Live clips by foots.
