And yet, weeks before ML release, firewire duet still works like crap with lion, go figure.Tarekith wrote:Apparently not much, Apogee used to support both platforms and then stopped a couple years back.

Re: Suggest a TINY sound interface
Hmm I probably wasn't really as clear as I should've been in my initial post.
I already have a workhorse audio interface (Focusrite Scarlett 18i6 which I fucking **LOVE**) which cost me around $240 (I got a decent deal).
I'm hoping to find an interface that's around $50-$75 that's super portable. I'm on PC as well so unfortunately, Apogee is out.
The Microbook looks mighty fine, but it's out of my price range.
The Audio 2 is a consideration but it lacks some of the inputs I was hoping for.
The Behringer might be a total piece of shit, but for $30, what do I have to lose?
The Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 is pretty sleek and is the awesome baby brother to my 18i6. But at $150 it's above what I really want to spend on this.
Anyone else have any

If it's any consolation I had the 18i6 before going to the 2i2. You're absolutely right that its sleek, and very portable. Same Pre's as well. You can usually find some factory refurbs for around $110-$115 on Ebay if that tips the scales. I've been uber impressed with it.Punky921 wrote: The Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 is pretty sleek and is the awesome baby brother to my 18i6. But at $150 it's above what I really want to spend on this.

I seriously can't believe how transparent and awesome those pres are. For the price, they're crazy good.matthews wrote:If it's any consolation I had the 18i6 before going to the 2i2. This might actually be the solution I need. Thanks!kenporter wrote:If all you worry about is your sound lagging I would try ASIO4ALL, which is a ASIO driver for onboard PC sound cards (http://www.asio4all.com). If you want a nice audio interface because you need to record audio, I would go with the RME Babyface (I own and love this one!!) or the Apogee One or Duet.

For portable recording, I might just get a hand recorder with dual line ins.
Re: Suggest a TINY sound interface
I have one and it's probably better than products 3x the price.Sibanger wrote:It worksThe Behringer might be a total piece of shit, but for $30, what do I have to lose?

Re: Suggest a TINY sound interface
OK this is a long shot, but IF you can make due with just ONE stereo input, AND your Lenovo has an expresscard or PCMCIA (cardbus) port, then these are very good. Probably one of the smallest interfaces available.
