Post by puzzlefactory » Fri Jul 06, 2012 7:51 pm

Described as a no-brainer and it really is. Great filter at a great price!

I was asking over on Gearslutz how this would compare to having an Electrix Filter Factory. Anyone around these parts have opinions?

For $20, I don't you can go wrong, though.

Too be honest with you.. You really lucked out. If you had been at this for several years... You might have a hard time justifying this particular vst effect. I mean, its an excellent filter. Its probably one of the best around...

Give yourself like two years, though.. omg, you will be drowning in software. It piles up.. in the worst way. You'll see.

Ha,ha Im afraid its too late for drowning,

I have been using Reason for a few years, and got a big collection of refills.
But since last year,Id been impressed with Ableton Live and ,and decided to take the plunge last year.

I use Rewire, occasionally with both softwares,so I have plenty of tools to use

I have a big collection of MacPro video's for Reason and more recently Ableton,so busy learning with those.

Shame I didn't take on becoming a musician when I left school a long time ago.But very happy as a hobbyist,lol :D

Is this a physical shipment or a download? It's not entirely clear to me from their website info and checkout. I'm assuming a box will be shipped based on my order info.

Ok, thanks.
It's been about 7 hours since I made the purchase. I'll call them tomorrow...

edit:
From their website:

We are available Monday through Friday from 8am Pacific to 6pm.
Give us a call or shoot us of an email and we will be happy to help you decide the best solution, answer any questions you may have or look into something for you.

Guess I'll wait 'till Monday!

Sit tight. I bought ETCH last night around 7pm. I went to bed around midnight with no email. Woke up, I was in.

Hi,

Just installed Etc and using in Live (version 8.3.2). Only with Etch I notice that when I move sliders or rotary controls (volume, pan, etc.) in the mixing area the mouse pointer hangs and stays visible on that slider/rotary control. However, the parameter is still changeable though. No other plugin causes this behaviour.

Anyone similar obervations?

Thanks.

The "glitch" presets really soak up the CPU.

Yeah, those presets that have OVERSAMPLE turned on double their CPU-need.
